Regional Trainings
Project CHOICES provides Regional Training and Planning
Institutes for school teams who have signed a letter of commitment.
In the first year of working with the project, an identified
district level coach and a building level coach and building team
attend up to four regional trainings. These trainings provide teams
the opportunity to build their knowledge and skills, network with
other school teams in their area, and develop a plan for bringing
information back to their building and teachers. The four training
topics are School, Family, and Community Partnerships; Teaming and
Relationship Building; Effective Instructional Practices; and
Adaptations and Support Systems. Following training on each topic,
it is critical that implementation in schools is monitored and
supported by Project CHOICES consultants in collaboration with
district and building coaches.
In addition to these trainings, Project CHOICES also provides
Regional Training and Planning Institutes for the next level of
implementation in buildings. Currently, these trainings include:
Collaborative Teaching; and Para Educator Partnerships. Click here for a further
description of each of the trainings and a schedule of
trainings.
