Professional Development Opportunities

Project CHOICES offers Regional Training & Planning Institutes and Coaches Training & Networking Institutes to school districts that have committed to working with the project for three to five years. These institutes provide opportunities for schools and districts to build their skills and network with others in their area. Assessments are aligned with each institute to facilitate ongoing measurement of progress on implementation of new skills and knowledge to benefit all students. Follow up activities are an integral part of trainings based on research supporting that professional development which includes a follow up component supported by a coaching model is more effective than the traditional one-shot workshops. Project CHOICES consultants collaborate with schools on follow-up activities after each institute as part of the three to five year commitment.
