Focus on Families
Project CHOICES believes that meaningful partnerships between
families and schools create better learning environments for all
students. In an effort to support these partnerships, our
Focus on Families section offers a variety of web resources, information, and
support for families about partnering with their schools to
educate students with disabilities in the Least Restrictive
Environment as well as connecting parents to supports and services
that might benefit their children. We also offer a lending
library as well as other articles on a variety of topics
related to special education.
Several Project CHOICES' staff members are also parents of
students with disabilities. These staff members are available
to answer questions or provide resources to families in
Illinois. If you are a family member of a student with a
disability and need resources or support, please click here for a list of
